About Me
Before becoming a childminder, I worked for several years in a local primary school as an Advanced Support for Learning Assistant, providing additional support for young children with learning difficulties. I have worked with children with a range of different issues including Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, hearing impairment and personal care issues.
In 2008, I attended a training course organised by the Scottish Childminding Association. Since then, my training has been ongoing and has covered a range of topics including:
I hold an Enhanced Disclosure Scotland certificate and am a member of the PVG scheme.
I have a Masters degree and an SVQ3 in Social Services (Children and Young People).
I also hold a Food Safety & Hygiene certificate and am trained in Paediatric First Aid.
